Wefts are the basis of amazing hair weaves, and sealing them is perhaps the best way to prevent them from shedding. You may need to have your hair professionally re-wefted if your weave has been installed for a while. Your Brazilian body wave hair is inclined to shedding right after it’s installed and this is the case for any wefted hair.
While it’s nearly impossible to prevent shedding, sealing the hair at the wefts before installing the weave can considerably reduce the chances. It is best to choose high quality wefts from the start in order to dramatically reduce the amount of shedding of your Brazilian body wave hair. Some people use fabric glue or other alternatives to seal the wefts, but these may not be able to withstand exposure to oil, heat and water.
Therefore, it is best to ask your stylist for a quality weft sealer, and one that will also bond quickly and leave the area flexible after drying. There are several dedicated weft sealants that provide a secure bond without leaving a white crust or residue along the weft. To apply the sealant, place a cloth or newspaper on a large surface such as dining table or counter top.
Next, lay the hair weave on the surface, and use something sturdy to anchor the ends of the hair down so that you can see the wefts and prevent them from tangling as you apply the sealant. Apply the sealant directly over the stitches of the weft, and glue from the top for a tighter seal.
Hair was soft and shiney. They are thin extensions, not good to add length, but good for those with very fine, thin hair like mine to add fullness, if you’re able to actually hide the tracks. The platinum isn’t actually platinum. They were more of a yellow blonde and had pieces of red and black strands mixed in. I rebleached and used purple shampoo and they look much more platinum. I also had to sit and individually cut out the strands of black and red that wouldn’t bleach. After that they looked good. I wish I could place them higher, but my hair isn’t thick enough to hide the tracks. For those with hair like mine, if you want fullness at the top, tape-ins are probably easier to hide and will be better. I should’ve gotten those.
My hair doesn’t grow all I’ve tried supplements all kinds of things well I’ve also done micro bead hair extensions I’ve done keratin glue hair extensions and I always look like a chemo patient once the extensions have to come out or I have to color my roots which is quite often being on 43 these clip-in hair extensions are long and beautiful the hair quality is amazing I can take them in and out for work or for going out I can color them wash them dry them curl them or straighten them so I am going to take a picture of hair extensions that I wear everyday that I ordered in March and you look at the quality of this hair and how good it looks
I LOVE these human hair extensions! I have never tried hair extensions before and always thought you had to pay a fortune for good quality. I am so happy with the quality of these. The color is a perfect match for my hair and you really cannot tell they are extensions. It would have been good if they came with instructions. It may sound silly but I didn’t know how to work the clips until I found some YouTube videos on how to use real hair extensions. They worked so much better after I learned that they snap open and close down on your hair! I also wish I could curl them, as shown in the picture. They don’t seem to hold a curl no matter what I try (curling iron, rollers, etc.). I definitely recommend you give these a try if you’re looking for an affordable and good quality hair extension.
Having purchased this hair more than once in multiple textures I find it lifts very well with no breakage so if you’re looking to color don’t be weary as IT HARDLY SHEDS, and I don’t mean lightly. I’ve been wearing the unit I made for about 4 weeks now, it functions great as my easy throw on everyday piece, I washed it three times to rid it or product build-up and have lost practically no hair. I always let it air dry over night and the natural hair texture retention is unparalleled.
As I made a unit I cannot attest for constant wear with a sew-in but this hair is pretty hard to tangle and as for dryness, there is next to none.
Now with any hair, it’s never suggested to cut the weft, the only shedding I experienced with this hair was the curly Brazilian variety I got and I’m sure it was due to cutting the weft and not fully re-sealing it. Still it was minimal to none.
As for the comments on “curl holding”, this hair makes a gorgeous curl, and like any hair, natural or weaved, if it’s not caked up with product the hold should be no problem. I curl it dry with a heat protectant and little gel. I also let my curls sit to better retain definition.
This is really nice hair. I’m no hair consoeur but the hair is soft and full. Minimal shedding. The closure is OK. Could be a little more natural looking but nevertheless it gets the job done. Feels light and no smell. Love how it turned out nice.
